António Gomes

I graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon (FMUL) in 2007 and became a Specialist in General Surgery in 2015. After that I finished an MSc in Epidemiology at FMUL, in 2018.
Over the years, I have gained significant experience as a Consultant in Study Design and Biostatistics, supporting clinical research projects. Recently, I expanded my skill set by completing training in Applied Data Science through MIT Professional Education in 2024.
My professional journey is driven by a strong focus on clinical research, particularly in the field of cancer. I am now embarking on an exciting new chapter as a Ph.D. student in Bioinformatics, where I aim to explore the role of STn (Sialyl-Tn) in cancer progression and its potential therapeutic implications.
